Gower, Missouri is small town living at its finest.  This small, but growing community of about 1500 people, is only 16 miles from St. Joseph and approximately 37 miles from Kansas City. Gower offers several activities for families with children, including a soccer association, youth football association, baseball and softball associations, Cub Scout and Boy Scout programs, as well as a community swimming pool and two parks.

Students who live in Gower attend school in the East Buchanan C-1 school district. The elementary, middle and high schools have a combined enrollment of about 735 students.  The ratio of students per teacher is only 13 with an average of 17 students per classroom.  The district also completed a new high school and gym in 2009.
